Video games help pensioners avoid falls
Pensioners are using video games to help them avoid falls in a new scheme being piloted in Greater Manchester.
Researchers from the University of Manchester and the NHS in Trafford have been fitting people in their 80s and 90s with motion sensors while they play video games.
They have found that tracking body movement can help to improve mobility and prevent accidents.
Falls cost the healthcare system £2.3 billion each year.
